"The incomplete journey of three women" is the first book in the wars and wings saga . The book revolves around the life of a young girl as beautiful as fairy, unaware of her future and life changing events.
The writing style of the author is very captivating . The narration is short, but yes, it'll catch you like a glue . I finished this book in less than 4 sittings . Easy to read and also best recommendation for your reading slump.
Silentnight –
At first glance I thought this book would be about the survival stories of three different women, but I was completely wrong. It proves the adage, "Don't judge a book by its cover."
The story is based on Tia, a 20-year-old girl who has been having strange dreams since the age of 15. She believes these are messages from God, revealing His plans for her. But what starts out as a normal life soon turns into an adventure filled with mystery, horror, and fantasy.
Through her dreams, she sees Tale a grieving girl who meets Zaira leading her to a mysterious world the Pond of Eternity. There, she meets Seraph, who asks for her help, and Alan Quadri, marking the beginning of an interesting and unexpected journey.
The author has built up the suspense to keep readers hooked until the last page. With the perfect blend of fantasy and mystery, this book is impossible to put down and once you finish it you will be eagerly waiting for the next part Just like I am🤗

Wars and Wings by Swamini Chopra Salame is an intriguing blend of fantasy, family expectations, and the struggle for identity. The story follows Tia Tondon, a young girl grappling with the pressures of an engineering career she never wanted, only to find herself swept into a world of magic, mysterious dreams, and a destiny she never saw coming. ✨
The premise is captivating—mysterious headaches, vivid dreams of three women, and a stranger claiming Tia is a princess. It’s a whirlwind of secrets and self-discovery that kept me turning pages. The writing is simple and engaging, making it an easy read, especially if you’re in a reading slump. I loved how the book balances real-life struggles with fantastical elements.
However, the pacing felt a bit rushed at times, with events unfolding so quickly that I had to pause and catch up mentally. I also wished for deeper world-building, especially in Tia’s real-world dynamics, to fully connect with her transformation.
That said, the cliffhanger ending left me eager for the next part! If you enjoy stories with magic, mystery, and strong female leads, this one’s for you.
Rosiee –
I really liked the author's writing style, especially how we went in and out of the dreams, shifting back to Tia Tandon.
The whole storyline felt quite unique to me but it ended with a cliffhanger which makes me wanna read the second part too- can't wait to get my hands on it soon! I am so curious to know more!!
The first few pages might feel a bit confusing, but as you read on, everything starts falling into place.
I'll be honest- while I enjoyed the storyline, Alaan did come off a bit too cheesy at times. Maybe it's just me, maybe not, but it felt a little over the top. That said, I really liked the library scene, hehe.

Book Review: Wars and Wings by Swamini Chopra Salame
A captivating blend of fantasy, romance, and destiny. The story follows Tia, an adopted daughter struggling for her own identity, and Taleena, a princess searching for her lost sister. Their worlds intertwine through dreams, magic, and an unexpected love story with the powerful Prince Alaan.
With a single-use Life Elixir at stake, Alaan faces an impossible choice—save Taleena, his mother, or Seraph, a soul longing for life. The suspense and emotional depth make this a compelling read.
A must-read for fantasy romance lovers. Five stars!
Ruchi Thakur –
This book is about Tia, her diary, her dream, and the magic and the search. The story of the three women in Tia's dreams that she wrote in her diary.
What I loved:
1. I loved the plot, the base of the plot revolves around Tia and her dream world; Tale/Taleena the women in Tia's dream is in search of something and her journey begins. She joins an academy and meets her destiny. But there is more.
2. I loved how detailed all the processes, the methods, and all the narrations were written.
3. Each character was unique and distinct from the others which made them more interesting.
4. The world-building in the real world as well as the magical world of diary was to the point and done flawlessly.
5. Tale and Alaan were wonderful together. The way their chemistry bloomed and the tension between them, was amazing to read those.
6. I loved the whole storyline, the to and fro of the world, the voice, the mystery, everything.
What I didn't like:
1. Okay coming to the hard part now, what I didn't like. It is not easy to not like anything from this story because it's that amazing and different. But one thing that I wanted to point out is the long paragraphs. Those were the only thing I'd like to say, that could have been changed. The long paragraphs could have been shorter. It makes it easier to read.
Overall:
Now coming to the overall view, I would like to say, this being the first book in the Wings and Wars Saga, I am loving it and I can't wait for the next book. Each women in this book was equally important and unique.
Tia, she has been sweet and lovable, I could feel her emotions and the inner struggle. And that twist with the twin, oh my god. I wanna know moreeee.
Tale/Taleena and Alaan and their jorney from being enemy at first meet to falling in love and being each other's destiny, it was all so amazing. But the ending made me sad. I want to know what happened to Tale just like Tia.
Sophie looks suspicious and that other guy too. Something is definitely up with them. I am sure they'll create problems.
Seraph and Krystle trying to stop Tale, made my heart sink. I hope Tale gets a happy ending.
I can't wait for the next book. This book is highly recommended.

Wars and Wings by Swamini Chopra Salame is a magical and emotional story filled with love, destiny, and mystery. The book introduces us to Tia, an adopted girl searching for her identity, and Taleena, a princess on a quest to find her lost sister. Along the way, they meet Seraph, a lost soul seeking a second chance, and Prince Alaan, a powerful yet possessive sorcerer trying to save his mother. As Taleena’s journey unfolds through Tia’s dreams, the two stories connect in a surprising twist. The biggest question? Alaan can only use the Life Elixir once—who will he save? The woman he loves, his mother, or the soul longing to live again? With suspense, romance, and an exciting cliffhanger, this book is a must-read for anyone who loves fantasy with deep emotions. I can’t wait for the next part!

This book revolves around Tia, a young girl struggling under the weight of her family's expectations. She begins having strange dreams about a woman surrounded by magic and mystical elements. As the dreams continue in a sequential manner, she starts writing them down in her diary as a story.
Things take an unexpected turn when she encounters a mysterious man who claims to be her brother and insists on taking her back to her true world. Not only that, but he also reveals that she is a princess from another kingdom and belongs to an entirely different realm. Confused and unsure of whom to trust, Tia is left questioning everything she has ever known.
I absolutely loved this book! It reminded me of Harry Potter with its spells and magical elements. I particularly enjoyed Tale and Alaan (characters from Tia's dreams)—their banter was wholesome and entertaining. It was amusing to see Alaan’s feelings shift after discovering the truth. However, I found myself confused at certain points. Some scenes could have used more detail, especially when introducing new characters or spells. Additionally, Tia’s real-life dynamics felt a bit rushed. In fantasy books, proper world-building is crucial, and I felt that aspect was somewhat lacking here.
There were also some typos and errors, but I later learned that the author has since re-published an edited version. Also, this book is part of a series, and it ended on a cliffhanger with many unanswered questions. Now, I can’t wait to continue Tia’s journey and see what lies ahead for her.
As a debut novel, I think the author did an excellent job, and I look forward to reading more of her works. If you enjoy books with magical elements and a unique yet captivating storyline, you should definitely give this one a try!
Ankita –
As I began reading Wars & Wings, I struggled to relate to the story in the beginning. But as I progressed, I understood the actual crux of Tia's journey—one with hardships, self-realization, and a sudden turn of magic.
The novel exquisitely conveys the stress of expectations from society, especially the pressure on young minds to confirm to set a path. Tia's inner conflict, her struggle against family pressure, and the enigmatic dreams drawing her into a different world hooked me into reading the book.
The novel is a gripping blend of modern dilemmas and magical realism. The manner in which Dr. Swamini Chopra Salame interweaves the internal conflicts of Tia with the enigmas of her dreams presents a page-turning narrative. The unresolved mysteries regarding the three women in her dreams add a fascinating depth to the story.
On the whole, Wars and Wings, is an interesting beginning to the series. You find yourself wanting to know more about Tia's fate and the world of magic she is pulled into. You might, feel bored sometimes as the journey switches timely. But, if you like reading books that combine everyday challenges with fantasy and adventure, this book is a must-read!
AMEERA ARIF –
The first installment in the Wars and Wings saga introduces you to a magical world of mystery with an ounce of chaos!
The story begins by giving us a window into the life of a simple girl, Tia Tondon. Gradually, as the story progresses, we get to see how the pressure of unfulfilled dreams weighs on her life.
Living under the societal and family pressure, Tia one day comes across a situation in her life that flips her world upside down. She finds out her true identity and sets out on an adventure to find out more about her fate and the truth behind her nightmares.
Since the world that Tia is pulled into deals with a lot of magic realism.
When, as the readers, we uncover some major plot points of the story along with Tia simultaneously, it is a fun and shocking surprise.
Tia's encounter with another major character of the story, Alaan, opened many new intriguing possibilities in the story, and it would be fun to see their relation unfold more in the upcoming part.
Like many fantasy reads, it took me some time to get acquainted with the plot, but it soon became a fun one to read. Though I felt like at some point the plot became too rushed, and it took some effort to keep up!
The story of the first book left me with a lot of questions and major cliffhangers, which I hope the next one addresses. Until then, stay magical!

Wars And Wings" by Swamini Chopra Salame is the first book of the trilogy. This book is beautiful blend of magic, spell, reunion, love, seperation . By reading this I wae lost into the realm of fantasy. I had realised this was going to be different read than my usual after just reading 3-4 chapters and surely it's a unique read. Author Swamini has done a great job in blending magic & love. This book has strong female protagonists. I love them. Here we will find Tia Tondon & Taleena Titanicance ,two strong, powerful women.
The book started with a girl,Tia and her weird dreams, her diary writing. This diary writing holds a great significance in the book.
We will see Taleena's story through the diary. Tia seems a normal girl but as the story was proceeded, I have found she is not ordinary girl, she has a past history. (I Won't reveal 🤫 you have to read this to discover).
Next the character Taleena. She is a princess of Titanicance and was brought to earth for a special cause. For her mission on earth she went to a magic academy. Here she met Alaan Quadri. The love of Taleena. But it' was not a smooth. They has given ' Hate to Love " vibes,🦋. I loved them so much. As I read more I fall in love with Alaan. He is definitely a green forest. His fierce, devoted love towards Taleena is just beyond anything.
Here I have to mention another fav character of mine, Zaira, soul shadow of Taleena. Taleena's ' Captain' . She is like her supportive, best friend. Love her friendly, kind nature and the way she helped Taleena to discover her feelings towards Alaan is beautiful. Here comes Seraph & krystaline. They are against the love story of Alaan & Taleena.. In between the story' I have witnessed the powerful magical battles, spells and enjoyed it'. The saddest part is the seperation of Taleena and Alaan. I didn't expect that. But it's not end. Waiting eagerly for next part

In reality I don’t read fantasy a lot but this was one of those books that attracts you by the cover and the name itself. I was sceptical at first but as the story continues I was relieved that I chose to give it a try and now I am excited to read the second one as well.
Not being the favourite child is really hard and being told the same day after day is even worse. Being the disappointment is the worst feeling in the world. And being reminded of it is even worse and the people who are supposed to love, care and support always without any expectation or should I say with expectation that also works with us is bare minimum right?
This is the story of Tia who is a student and her parents want her to become the engineer but she always wanted to be an author but her parents’ disappointment anf force to be an engineer demotivated her so much that she wants to forget about the dream. She has been seeing a particular dream from a long time and has been writing the dream in sequence in her diary which has been hidden from everyone.
The dream is about a princess Tale who has been a disgrace for her parents and has never been loved by them. She was supposed to be the heir but with the disappointment she turned out her parents are trying for another child. The only person who showed a bit love and interest in her was her sister Krystal but she vanished and Tale has been searching for her the whole time.
She meets a person calling herself Tale’s good soul who has a connection with god and has come to help Tale to reach her destiny and find her sister. Zaira asks her to follow her and go somewhere in order to reach her destiny. She does follow Zaira as she knows noone is going to miss her in the palace. She meets another soul Seraph who needs her help to get her love and Tale decides to help her.
Will she be able to reach her destiny and find her sister or the new promise will cause more problems in her life or maybe accepting to help Seraph is the way to reach her destiny which is not even known to her? Read this mesmerizing story and find all the answers.

It's a fantasy novel that follows Tia Tondon, an adopted girl stuck between her parents' expectations and her own dream of becoming a writer. As she writes in her diary, she starts having strange, vivid dreams that lead her into a magical world.
Through these dreams, we meet Taleena and Alaan, two characters connected by fate, prophecy, and a journey full of magic and secrets. The story moves smoothly between Tia's real life and the fantasy world, making you feel fully involved in both.
One of the most exciting parts is the hint that Tia might be a lost princess, which adds a layer of mystery. Even the side characters feel real, with hidden motives that keep you guessing. It's a beautiful mix of emotion, fantasy, and self-discovery.
Why read it?
The mix of real-life struggles and a magical world feels fresh and emotional. If you love stories with deep
characters, hidden secrets, and a journey of self-discovery, this one's worth picking up.

“Wars and Wings Part 1” by Swamini Chopra Salame is a breathtaking introduction to a fantasy world that blends dreams, destiny, and deep emotions.
This was my first dive into fantasy, and I must say—it completely swept me away!
The story begins with Tia and her mysterious dreams, which form the core of the plot. While we don’t get to know much about Tia herself in this part, her connection to the dream world is layered with intrigue and ends on a gripping cliffhanger that leaves you hungry for the next book.
Inside Tia’s dream is where the magic truly unfolds: a classic enemies-to-lovers tale between Taleena and Alaan that is both emotional and intense. Their story has that rare soulmate energy—raw, passionate, and destined. Alaan’s transformation from rage to love was written beautifully, while Taleena’s character hit me the most. A girl torn between expectations and justice, duty and desire. You can't help but feel for her, especially when she constantly puts others before herself.
Swamini’s writing brings out tension, emotional conflict, and rich world-building with such ease. The story feels like a storm slowly brewing—with secrets, emotions, and epic turns.
And that cliffhanger ending? Oh, it got me good. I’m definitely eagerly waiting for Part 2.

So I just finished reading this book , not really knowing anything and it took me by surprise 👀 I was not expecting what was thrown at me 😅 it was like a fusion of Mystery, Harry Potter mixed with cruel prince. Did I just got served enemies to lovers ? Hell yeah! That too fated lovers 🤭 along with magical duels 😍 an Enchanting mystery going on making everything more suspicious and two timelines, both filled with magical secrets!
The story follows Tia , our main character who is writing her dreams in her diary , her dreams are vivid and follows the journey of Tale— Taleena Titanicance , a princess that sets out to find the soul of her sister, krystal ,along with zaira ,her inner soul and Seraph, another soul seeking her help. Her Quest requires her to get into the university of magic ,steal elixir of life from it's dark arts genius, Alaan .
Princess tale doesn't back down on her word , but her heart is experiencing strange emotions, entangling herself more and more , with her given word, her feelings and in Alaan , who consequently turns out to be her destiny?
Meanwhile Tia , reading her dreams in her diary is experiencing strange phenomenon, her world seems to shift it's axis as something is brewing.. maybe her dreams aren't dreams at all , her destiny is connected to what she doesn't know yet but one thing is certain — God has a different destiny planned for her instead of studying engineering.
I loved the connection between Alaan and Taleena , though sometimes I felt Tale was confusing me alot, I understand how must have Alaan felt😅. First i really disliked him due to his behaviour, but then he redeemed himself , he was a real sweetheart after he fell in love . At times I was angry at tale due to her actions 😭 i hope I see more development in her in next part.
The story is written in a very mysterious and charming sense, one second I was engrossed in tale's story while next I was Reading tia's ... I love the suspense in this book😍 i think I have a few theories too , i want to know what happens next , excited for it's second part and what is god's plan for Tia and Taleena and find out how are they connected!
P.s. - I understood the reason behind the cover 🤭 I see what u did there author 👀 very nice 👍🏻

This book follows two powerful, parallel narratives Tia’s journey to rediscover her identity and passion and Tale’s quest to find her missing sister and prove her worth.
What truly fascinated me was how beautifully these two stories complement each other. Tia’s struggle for self-acceptance and artistic freedom runs alongside Tale’s magical yet emotional search for love and belonging. Despite the difference in settings one modern, one fantastical the emotional core of both stories feels deeply relatable.
The themes of not feeling “enough” for your parents, the conflict between duty and desire, and the courage to chase your dreams are portrayed with honesty and sensitivity. Both Tia and Tale are fierce, strong, and unapologetically themselves and that kind of representation is refreshing and empowering.
Talking about the characters Tia is a modern girl dealing with real-life pressures family expectations, societal norms, and the guilt of not fitting into the mold her parents want for her. She hides her rich inner world and creative passion, fearing she won’t be understood.
On the other hand Tale though living in a fantasy kingdom faces similarly real emotions. She’s brave and determined but also wounded by the emotional neglect from her parents. Her search for her sister Krystal is not just a physical one it's her desperate attempt to reconnect with the only person who made her feel truly loved.
Initially, it took me a little time to get into the story because this was only my second fantasy novel but as the plot unfolded, I became completely drawn in. The blend of fantasy with emotional realism made it a compelling read.
The author’s writing is engaging and easy to follow. The character development is strong and the emotional parallels between Tia and Tale are striking and memorable.
Overall, this was an immersive and enjoyable read. I’m already looking forward to continuing Tia and Tale’s journey in the next book.
Priyanka Singhal –
Wars and Wings: The Incomplete Journey of Three Women by Dr. Swamini Chopra Salame is a compelling debut in a fantasy series that masterfully blends real-world struggles with a richly imagined magical realm. The story centers on Tia Tondon, an adopted daughter caught between the weight of her parents' expectations and her own dreams of becoming a published writer. As she navigates her everyday life, Tia begins experiencing vivid dreams—dreams she records in her diary—that unravel a parallel narrative featuring Taleena Titanicance (Tale) and Alaan Quadri, two characters bound by prophecy and fate.
The dual narrative is one of the book’s strongest elements. The transitions between Tia’s reality and the fantasy world are timed with precision, often at the most intense moments, keeping the reader emotionally invested and eager for more. Tale and Alaan’s journey is emotionally charged, filled with magical duels, cryptic prophecies, and a slow-burning connection that hints at a deeper destiny. Fans of Harry Potter will find familiar echoes in the magical school setting, spellcasting, and the sense of an epic saga just beginning.
One of the most tantalizing aspects is the subtle hint at Tia’s true identity—possibly a princess of royal lineage—which adds a layer of mystery and anticipation. The side characters are equally intriguing, each cloaked in just enough ambiguity to make you question their motives and loyalties.
That said, the book isn’t without its flaws. The world-building, while imaginative, could have been more fleshed out to help readers fully immerse themselves in the magical realm. Alaan’s sudden shift from viewing Tale as an enemy to someone he can’t live without—triggered by a single prophetic touch—felt abrupt and slightly jarring. Additionally, the pacing, which is steady and engaging for most of the book, feels rushed in the final chapter, as if the author was hurrying to reach the cliffhanger ending.
Despite these minor issues, Wars and Wings is a promising start to what appears to be an epic and emotionally resonant fantasy series. With strong female leads, a gripping plot, and a seamless blend of fantasy and real-life themes, it’s a captivating read for both YA and adult audiences. I’m completely hooked and can’t wait to dive into the second book, which is already out!

This book follows Tia Tondon, a young girl who has the weight of family expectations hanging over her, as she starts to experience odd dreams, horrible headaches, and is confronted by a stranger who wants to call her a princess. Slowly, her reality starts to blur with something magical, chaotic, and profound.
The narrative focuses on the half-finished journeys of three women, and while fantasy serves as a vehicle, it is the emotional battle that gripped me most. Tia's confusion, resistance, and quiet resilience were relatable, especially through her rejection of everything she was raised to believe she must accept and never question.
Some components of the fantasy realm felt a little shallow, and a few transitions felt a little fast, but the idea is fresh, and themes of self and purpose and inner torment resonated hard.
If this complex blend of coming-of-age meets fantasy meets deep emotional content is your thing, I strongly recommend reading this book.

To Confess I went into this book attentive and was expecting magic, but what I got was deep mystery, inner conflicts, and connection that stays. "War and Wings" isn’t just a fantasy it’s a mirror into questions that we’ve all quietly asked ourselves: What if my dreams meant something? What if my destiny was different from what I’ve been told?
📍 Tia, a young girl caught between real life and a thrilling dream world that begins to connect her reality. Through her diary, i was drawn into the journey of Princess Taleena—a fierce and fascinating character on a soul-seeking journey. I found the princess to be torn between duty and desire i.e fate and Alaan.
Yes. Enemies to lovers. Fated lovers. Magic academy. Two timelines that cover like shores of destiny. Every twist was Unexpected.
🤐 Alaan—don’t even ask me. I hated him then loved him & finally I cried for him. That’s the kind of emotional rollercoaster I live for.
But what truly made this book special was how it balanced Tia’s struggle with Taleena’s journey. Tia is a girl who’s been told what to do in her Life. Taleena is the part of her that dares to stand. As their stories start to relate the suspense only deepens. By the end, I whispered to the book “What just happened?."
📖 Highlights:
– Parallel Read that never confuse but interlinked.
– Beautifully written which felt magical and real.
💭 My Thoughts:
There were moments I literally felt the ache of Taleena’s heart and confusion faced by Tia. I tried to discover the secrets that Seraph and Krystle carried silently. 🙊 I’m READY for Part 2. 🕊️

To me, this book isn’t about three women—it’s about strength, pain, and the quiet wars we all have inside us. All of their journeys were so real and imperfect that at times I seen a piece of me in their struggles. The writing portrays both the heaviness of the battles, as well as the delicate hope in finding a way to raise up your wings again.
What I love most is how imperfectly the story continues—there are no amazing endings and it embraces the raw and incomplete-ness of what feels more real. Some chapters broke me, some chapters healed me, but all of the chapters gave me the reason to pause. It is certainly a read that lingers long after you stop making pages turn over. 🦋
